Remember that this game is Ravenhearst not MCF Ravenhurst. Hurst is “A city of northeast Texas, an industrial and residential suburb of Fort Worth.”! Although a thriller in texas wouldn’t be terrible…

  17. The Big Diamond:

Ravenhurst is now available to download!

  18. Ziggie:

How do you open the puzzle room doors?? It’s driving me nuts!!

  19. The Big Diamond:

To open the first puzzle door think about the meaning of the symbols with relation to sun and moon and move the bottom circles to the left or right side in the circle around the lock.

  20. kls1077:

Could you elaborate please?? I tried putting all the “sun” and “moon” things together but that didn’t work.

  21. Jess:

I can’t unlock the nursery! Can anyone help with the code for the door?

  22. debra:

need specifics on unlocking the first door—where do the circles go?

  23. holly:

    call in for back up

  24. The Big Diamond:

To elaborate, you put all the objects that relate to the day on the left and the objects that relate to the night on the right side of the circle of places you can put them.

  25. Jess:

    I meant the library

  26. Jess:

Okay, you take all the symbols that deal with the sun and put them on the left, hat, glasses, sundial, etc. and the ones doing with the dark on the right side. than you flip the switches on either side and you should open the door. Hope this helps!

  27. The Big Diamond:

After you put them together click on the sun and mooon in the top corners of the screen to active them. After all that click on the door handle.

  28. King77:

yah me either, i can’t open the library either
if i click hint, it shows the hand print from the first step and the keypad with a 5 over it. NOTHING is working though. can’t figure it out

  29. kina:

I have the same problem, the keypad wit a 5 hint doesn’t help, and everything has been tried. Is it a bug?

  30. kina:

In the library you shall copy the time from the others clocks for example: set the clock to 9 o’clock and the push the red button and so on

  31. Leo:

Where do i finde the Cellar, when i have found the 7 keys ?

  32. Don:

After you get all the clocks going and the bottom boxes filled with their opposites (devil with the angel, etc.), there is a symbol on the door of each box. Enter the number of points on each symbol into the keypad, from left to right.

  33. cws:

In the librabry I did all the clocks and got objects (hand, clover, etc)which I translated into numbers but when I put the numbers into the key pad the lock still does not open. What am I doing wrong?

  34. bryan bush:

I would like to know how where the cellar is atcuzi cant find it I have all the keys but cant find the cellar please someone help us.

  35. kina:

I sounds like you are doing the right thing(hand is 5, clover is 4 etc) and when you have put the numbers into the key pad, you should push the handle under the keypad, as far as I remember …

  36. Kelly:

I can not get all the lights to turn on. You know the board in the upper left hand corner. I did it once and got the blue fuse thing but I am not sure how I did it (lol) HELP PLEASE

  37. Sharon:

I’m in the same boat as a couple others.
I have found all 7 keys and have no cellar door in which to open.
Is there anything else we need to do to get the cellar to show up?

  38. Debby:

When you go to the cellar you click on the door just past the stairs
I have the keys and I see how the tops of the keys match the “key holes” with lights but I can’t get the door open. I didn’t get too many of the puzzles through the game. I feel th3e game is a bit dissapointing I didn’t not like doing the jigsaw puzzles at the end. Prime Suspects was better with the alternative games at the end in my opinion.

  39. Mary:

How do I solve the puzzle in the servant’s quarters? When I press hint, I keep getting the picture of the windup car (I assume) igniting a fire under the soda, but I can’t get it to work.

  40. Leo:

I think it has something to do with finding the wrong key´s, because if you keep looking, you will be able to find more key´s, than 7, the counter just starts to count -1, -2 and so on, so keep trying looking for key´s.

  41. Margie:

How do solve the puzzle door with all the flies and the little possum?

  42. Sarah:

I used my 5 hints to figure it out. First you open the bottle with the can opener. Then you click on the time card to show you 930 and set the clock to 930. There is a little valve right next to the clock to the left you click it to turn it on. Then you click on the cat card then the car. After that turn the bottle upside down. It then fills the bath tub and you click on the rubber ducky to drop the guys arm. You then click on the screaming guy above the time clock and then fill the ballon you may have to click the screaming guy again. And thats it.

  43. mitzsa:

If you click on the basement tab where the files are it will take you to 3 diferent locations. click on cellar. in the cellar click on the door that has red lights on it that is where you will find the puzzle to open the cellar door. i don’t know where to go from there. if you press the lights and they turn green then the doorknob the letters of the alphabet come up but there are no hints as to whether the letters spell a word or not. I did get all x’s (you know x marks the spot but nothing happened from there I need help. PLEASE_________________

  44. Jessica:

What about the puzzle with the nursery — the +8/-3 is messing me up.

  45. Juliet:

When you get all 7 keys, you go to the basement tab and go to cellar. You will see a yellow door. You click it to bring it to the screen than if you place all the keys on at a time in the middle it will give you a letter spelling the word forever, than you need to have the word forever in the areas that you spell and than click in the middle where you put the keys. The doors will open than to reveal a coffin, you need to move the lid with your mouse to remove the lid. Finally you have the spirit and the game ends.

  46. fowl1:

I’ve been able to figure the locked doors out, until I reached the door with the lightbulb board. I managed to light all the bulbs… but then what?
It appears that a number of batteries are needed… but how do you get them?
The knife switch doesn’t do anything… and neither does the slide handle.

  47. Anne:

    Thank you,
    Anne

  51. Juliet:

Ive had to do it over, bec ause the cellar tab dosent show up. Try it again, and just get the keys u need.

  52. Don:

My game keys spell L-O-V-E-B-E-D, an anagram for BELOVED. Maybe this word changes when you replay the game. I’m on the second play-through, so we’ll see.

  53. hinnepainie:

Can You tell me how to get thruogh the 2nd door I canI can open the pop bottle and fill the bathe and set the time then what i can’t seem to light the flame Helpp!!

  54. Judy:

Click on the flies and drag to spaces to make connections. You need to catch and drag all 3 flies

  55. purps:

OK so I have 10 keys but still no tab to get me to the cellar, have already deleted the game and restarted it because this happened before, the two rooms I am left with definately have no keys in them, even used the enlarge thingy on my mouse to make it bigger and had two other people looking! What am I doing wrong?!

  56. purps:

Did you have any luck with this one?! Its the door I got stuck on, in the end gave up and used the phone and went straight past it and lost all of my hints!!!

  57. Jess:

what do you do after you catch the flies?

  58. Karen Horner:

I have also found all 7 keys but the basement tab is not blinking. How do I get to the cellar? HELP ME PLEASE!!!!

  59. Karen Horner:

I am having the same problem I have all 7 keys and the basement tab does not blink so how am I suppose to get to the cellar? HELP ME PLEASE

  60. David:

This is rather hard to explain but in the puzzle where you have to get all the lights to go on you have to click on the lights that are off (even if they light up) when you start each puzzle. When you get all the lights on you get a battery. Insert the battery into the correct coloured slot and then do the next lights puzzle clicking on all the lights that are off at the start.

If you find all 7 keys for the cellar but can’t get into the cellar then you need to start the level again and find the keys on the other floors except the basement because if you find a key ion one of the areas in the basement it locks the basement tab and you can’t click on it to get into the cellar. So DO NOT CLICK ON THE BASEMENT TAB UNTIL YOU HAVE GOT ALL 7 KEYS FROM THE OTHER AREAS!

  61. Nan:

Is there anywhere you can play the Ravenhearst game online without doing the download? I live in small town USA and am on dial up. these downloads take longer than the hour it takes to play the game!!! We are all addicted to the MCF games.

  62. Don:

I just had an idle thought. Why on earth would anyone look for an easy solution to a problem that could be solved by old-fashioned reasoning? Wake up, people! None of the puzzles in Ravenhearst are that tough. If you have a real problem with them, send me some mail, but you really ought to solve them by yourself. Why play the game if you’re not awake? tenorsax@charter.net

  63. Jessica:

You have to light the board up to get each battery. One for red, yellow, blue etc.

  64. cwcmd:

I can not get my game to start , it will download but it stops says projetor is corrupted and then stops. what do i do?

  65. cwcmd:

i agree but would like to play , i downloaded it but it keeps saying projector corrupted and stops ,can you tell me what to do , no one will tell me.

  66. Kelly:

How in the world do you solve the puzzle in the shed..the one with the different colored lights and the race horses at the bottom….PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!

  67. Mrs. Stephens:

Under the board is a lever you must pull to the right. It releases a battery and you place it in the right color. 4 batteries, 4 times you must solve the lights puzzle.

  68. Mrs. Stephens:

Click on the car to light the flame. Clock time must be changed first.

  69. Mrs. Stephens:

I wouldn’t mind sending the download on a CD to you but have no idea how to get your information.
This should be legal because you still must purchase the license. However, my download is from BigFishGames.com and I don’t know if that would be a problem.
You can find me at gameboomers.com as raylinstephens should you want to reach me.

  70. Mrs. Stephens:

The only time I got a projector error was trying to play SafeCracker (original) in XP. What operating system are you using?
Ravenhearst plays in XP but do you meet the requirements?

  71. tanya:

I think it gives you different words because mine was dearest.

  72. Mrs. Stephens:

Thank you Don. I was almost ready to ask for help and read your post. I finished the locked doors all on my own! A good feeling since I am not the best puzzle solver.
Sadly after reading these posts I knew what the ending word is but still needed to solve the riddle of the keys before I realized it.

  73. Kristine:

I can’t get in either. I set the clock, opened the bottle and clicked the car. Still no flame. What am I missing?

  74. sharon:

u have to spin the arrows so the one on the right is 3 and the left is 8. The + and - are negative and positive on a battery holder. Insert the battery in this slot

  75. jawdat:

    Any suggestions?

  77. Kookla:

Hi, I have the same problem, after I find all the keys, the basement is not accessible to get to the cellar door. Been looking for last couple of days now and can’t find anything !!!!

  78. Marilyn:

    I LOVE this game!

I found a good walkthrough at Gamezebo:
    http://www.gamezebo.com/2006/12/mystery_case_files_ravenhearst_3.html

    Really useful for me!

  79. lild:

I have more than 7 keys - have 10 and still dont know how to get into the cellar.

  80. Margie:

Go to the basement–Cellar is one of your choices for rooms in the basement. Then click on the semicircle of 7 dots and you will get a close up view of the last puzzle.

  81. kate:

  83. bigmama:

i would now also. i can’t find it anywere.

  84. Dan:

Is there anyway of playing this game on a mac?

  85. The Big Diamond:

Sorry, there is no mac version for mystery case files ravenhearst yet.

  86. Wen:

Finale: There are plenty of keys to be found, but you only need to find any six of them, it doesn’t matter which ones. Click on the cellar tab and then the circles on the door. Place each key one at a time in the middles space. Match the letter revealed in each circle. I believe that the final word revealed is different in each game play. Mine did not show “forever” as mentioned before. The door will open and you move the coffin to reveal a nasty corpse. The end.

  87. Lynne Adamson:

I have the keys, but the basement is not highlighted as an option to visit, I have all clues, but no way of getting to the cellar, can anyone help?

  88. stephi:

    Re: The Cellar
I had the keys, couldn’t get in to the basement and so re-started the level. But even before I begin to look for any keys the basement tab does not show up?! Am I going to have to re-start right from the very beginning of the game again to get the basement tab to ‘hopefully’ show up or has anyone else experienced this and found a solution?

  89. Marinda:

I have the same problem. Is it a glitch in the game? I can’t get into the basement level to get to the cellar. Does anyone know ??

  90. gloria york:

when will we be able to purchase Ravenhearst, without buying the cd? I would rather just purchase and download a code number, or is this possible already?

to get into the basement you have to find keys from anywhere but the basement once you have seven keys then go to the basement. if you take keys from the basement you will not be able to go back there. There are more than 7 keys for sure I found 12
If you do end up disabling the basement, simply let your time run out and start over finding the keys. I learned this information the hard way.

  95. donna c:

click on black telephone bottom right hand corner of scren

  96. Anna:

yes, but how do you get all the light bulbs to come one_ I have clicked and clicked and clicked but not all come on !

  97. GreenMiles:

There is a lever directly below the light board. Each time you light all the lights, pull the lever. A battery of a certain color will pop up and the light board will reset. Light them all again and pull the lever again. Repeat five times.

  98. GreenMiles:

The code is different every time. When you get to the door in the cellar it’s fairly obvious which keys go in which holes. Drag each key, in order, over the window in the center of the screen.

Each key will yield a different letter, spelling s seven-letter word. Push the red button next to the corresponding keyhole to turn it green, then rotate the “knob” until the same letter appears.

The seven-letter word that appears is different every time you play. I’ve played twice and the words I got were IDOLIZE and CHERISH.

  99. imsida:

If anyone wishes to complete the Ravenhearst puzzle there is a complete walkthrough for all locks on
    http://www.gamezebo.com/2006/12/mystery_case_files_ravenhearst_3.html
Good luck to everyone and enjoy. When you come to the final lock in the basement you will get a seven letter word. This word can be different each time. I’ve had DEAREST & CHERISH the 2 times I have reached the end.

  100. imsida:

    This game can accessed at
    bigfishgames.com
    I love it.
For those having a problem finding the cellar. Click on the basement tab and you will find the cellar access there.
    Have fun

  101. anna:

how do you get all the light bulbs to trun on in the cellar puzzle! HELP!!!

  102. Rosemary Williams:

For the first puzzle, start with the first unlit bulb on the upper left corner and go diagonally to the lower right, clicking unlit bulbs as you go. Then use the knife switch and you’ll get a batteryi.

But beware. The light bulb puzzle has to be solved once for each battery, and no pattern is the same.

  103. Kathy:

You have to set the one clock to each clocks time and then click the car and so on.

  104. Allison:

after you get the first door to shut with the two babies in it how do you do the rest? i am so puzzled

  105. nadia:

i am stuck with the workshop lock i move the monkey and all. I see the card to swipe but can’t pick it up to open the door, I am always skipping this level and able to finish except to do this. Please help to swipe the card

  106. Kako:

  108. Paulette:

You can’t put all seven keys on at one time. It only takes one and gives you a letter. Each time I get a different letter. lol. HELP

  109. dennis:

I can’t figure it out either. I found the card but can’t pull the card out… err

  110. Anna:

How do I open the last door in the cellar?!!!! HELP Please have all the keys. Now what?

  111. kandace:

I dont know I just wanted to write to this fucken thing

  112. Shannon:

I, too, can’t get to the basement. I do remember finding one of my first keys there so that’s probably what’s wrong. I’ve tried re-finding the keys (I’ve found them three times now) but the basement level hasn’t one of the options. It takes forever to let the time run out (even if I click around a bunch so it penalizes me). I’m wondering if maybe I should just start the whole thing over again.

  113. dee:

once u have the whole board lit up it producers different coloured batteries which u put in the appropriate places… wait until the next puzzle

  114. Pam:

Place each key in the center above the large green button. It will give you a letter vslue for each key. Match the shape of the key with the circle and place the letter there by clicking the red button and then turning the dial at the bottom until the circle indicates that letter. Each time you solve the puzzle the secret word is different. One was forever and then cherish.

  115. PAULETTE:

THIS IS A GREAT GAME,,AND I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE THIS GAME

  116. imsida:

    To Author
Try finding an extra key that might work. What can I tell you everytime I’ve found the keys the basement has been highlighted and I’ve now played the game 10 times now and have had no problem.
If it doesn’t work than go punch the pillow or go to the walkthrough website which is listed on this comment site.
Good luck to you mate. If the game drives you to drink you can shout me one too.

  117. sandra:

  118. sandra:

How do you unlock the door with all the clocks. I have changed the big clock to the smaller clocks times, pressed the red button all the clocks are spinning around. I have matched the symbols eg sun and moon, angel and devil, rabbit and hare. Now what am I supposed to do??

Put it in the slot in the bottom right hand corner.
Press the lever beneath the bread.
When the toast pops, move the lever on the ruler just to the right of the toaster to 3 1/2”.
Click and drag the barrel of the gun so it points towards the apple then let go.

    KEYS

Before you can complete the final puzzle, you need to find 7 keys. Every room has a key, although some disappear so you never know which rooms have the keys and which don’t. But they are always in the same place, so this should make things a lot easier.

Attic On the right hand window frame
Backyard Bottom left, on the wheel just below left of the iron.
Cellar On the edge of the map on the back wall. Very top of the screen
Dining Room On the light at the top of the screen, just below the left two.
Entry Bottom left corner is an owl, above which is a face. The key is where the mouth is.
Front Porch At the top of the pillar, next to a bracket
Game Room Just above the corner pocket of the pool/billiards table, lower centre of the screen
Garage Very top of screen, about an inch from the right
Garden Almost toughing the axe head on the left hand side. Lower centre of screen.
Greenhouse Just below the binoculars in the lower left corner
Guest Bathroom Bottom centre, on the wooden bucket.
Guest Quarters Almost very centre of screen, in a green drawer on the right of the curtain/drape
Kitchen In the bottom left corner is a wheel, the key is in the corner of the table.
Library Very left, halfway down, next to the lamp.
    Living Room
Master Bathroom Upper right corner, between the toilet cistern and the window.
Master Bedroom Bottom centre, just to the left of the chest at the end of the bed.
Music Room In the bottom left corner is a saxophone, to the left is a pencil, then compass, the key
Nursery On the door frame, just above the football helmet
Pantry At the top of the cello, just before the scroll
Parlor On the statue on the right, about halfway down. In lin with the top of the couch/sofa
Servants Quarters Above the top right corner of the painting
Shed Very top centre of the screen. Between the phone and dynamite. Very rusty.
Storage Room On the knights armour, between the pig and the globe
Study On top of the lattice, underneath the window
Surveillance Room On the chair frame, below the slingshot
Taxidermy Room On the small table, between the drum and the fish
Theatre Just to the left of the lamp base, above the elephant
Treehouse On the lowest branch to the right, just above right of the blue ribbon
Wardrobe A reflection in the mirror, just left of the centre
Widow’s Walk On the door frame, on the right of the screen, just above the french fries
Workshop On the right hand side of the back of the chair.

  121. Grace:

turn the knife blade until a window opens below revealing the code; turn each of the remaining spinners and they will open corresponding windows; they each reveal the direction the child’s blocks should face. turn them to match the revealed code.

  122. elena:

  124. Massal:

Once you have all the light bulbs, click on the lever below and a battery will appear. You will need to figure out the lights 5 times before you can go on.

  125. ken:

BELOVED … is the final puzzle.

  126. Massal:

Ken, the final puzzle has more than one answer. I know this because I’ve played through more than once. I think the final word is generated randomly. The best way to find out is to use the keys to learn the letters of the word.

  127. Amber:

Racheal1, just wondering what the complete answer is for solving Puzzle 13? If you could post, that would be great. Thanks!

  128. Some wierdo:

I did it all and saved my notes so if anyone has any questions or painful hair ripping wonderments
Lemme know ok and I’ll help

    SW

  129. Annie:

i don’t know how to unlock the cellar door

  130. Some Wierdo:

If you look closely at all the keys you have found and compare the top of the key to the pictures on the wall you will see a relationship between them.
Remember only one key per time when you click on it and recieve the letter.
Write the letter down before you put the key back and chose another key.

    SW

  131. XionD:

Ok well Im stummped… I got 7 keys and now i cant get to the cellar.

Im currently on the level with the Front Porch, Servants Quarters, Living Room & Kitchen. (screen shot: http://www.netspace.net.au/~xiond/thissux.jpg)

What do i do now????? I know for a fact i have the keys from the Kitchen, Servans Quarters & Front Porch… I took a screen shot of the living room and searched for like 30mins… couldn’t find a key there anywhere. 134. Diamond Gamer:

you have to keep changing all of the clocks to the different times to unlock the room

  135. booger:

Set the main clock with the times on the others. Each window (where the babies are) at the bottom will open. For each picture in the windows, you will need to find an object that is the opposite of each picture. When you put the objects in the windows, the windows will close. There are symbols on each window. The first is the had the hint gives you. It has 5 fingers. Press 5 on the keypad. The second has 2 cards. Press 2 on the keypad. You can figure out the others.

Hi, I have finished this game several times. You just have to go through all the levels until you come to ones that has the hidden keys. After you collect all the keys you will just see one image when you start the game. you wil solve a puzzle and it will take you to the celler door. if everything is done right you can unlock the door with the skeleton key. You can also get a walkthrough by doing a search for the game with the walk through included in the search

  173. DEEDS:

 will someone please tell me about the horse race puzzle. I can get to the part where the piggy bank drops, no further

Note: you do not need a special key, and no idea about the entrance hall. this will work!

  189. Diamond Gamer:

it’s a pic of Emma running at you in a wedding dress, here’s what i think the writing is: ‘I have watched you moving about the house for some time, collecting items for research. You hold what remains of my diary! I feel that we were friends, a long, long, time ago. You must help me! I must get away before HE returns. If HE returns, I shall be doomed. Find the 7 skeleton keys and hurry, for there is little time. Unlock the door and the curse shall lift.’ I know some of that isn’t right… it’s been a while…
