I am stuck on solveing some of the milestones!!! Do any of you know how to solve them?!
I’m stuck on four milestones: the flower with the stars around it, the one that looks like either a baby or a lightbulb, the butterfly, and the cave (and boulder?). I’ve maxed out the tech and population, btw.
Which ones do you still have left to solve?
I still have those four, also I have the regular flower and the bug thing. I can’t figure those out. All my tech and everythgin is maxed out and I have a pop of 91.
I do know that somehow you have to get the magical water from the lagoon onto the deaad flowers where ‘nature calls’.
You need to take a nursing mother and drop her into the logon. Once you do that, take your golden child to the flower garden. Next take him to the plant that may produce fruit. Then just watch him and within a few minutes, he will take care of the bolder. Hope this helps.

Ok,. i just started the game but i have got the first 5 puzzles and #8 i am unsure how to move the boulder, sculp the large rock, do something witht he ruins and what is the large patch of land in the back? Is that where you are going to bury your dead?

you have to max out your farming, then pick a villager and drop him in the ocean
mark, in response to being stuck on the stone carving, the boulder, the flower with stars and the golden child, do you have to be maxed on everything first ? I am maxed on construction, farming and tech, 2/3rds of med, fertility and spirituality, I have dropped all my nursing mothers in the lagoon at least 4 times apiece, but no golden child yet…

Hi, I keep reading about the golden child. My village is maxed out at 90 people, and I cannot make any more children. I have solved 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,11,12…I can’t seem to find anything else for them to do??!!

Hope, as far as which techs to buy, always make sure your food source is secure and adequate. Also, remember that points accumulate faster when the science is purchased. It is a balancing act, and eventually you need to own them all to find out all of the puzzles. I have solved all but the last….hmmmm

Please help with puzzle number 6, the fish with the stars. I have completed everything else but this and also being able to enter the cave, the boulder has been moved and it says I can explore other areas of the island, but I’m not sure how.
to get the fish with the stars, first you have to take the rocks away from the lagoon you also need level three of farming, the drag a master farmer to the lagoon and he will catch the magic fish
Once you have “purchased” all of your farming options, pick a master farmer and drop him into the lagoon, he will hunt for a strange fish, it might take a few tries so be patient. As far as the cave goes, I haven’t been able to get my people to explore it either, it might be something that is done in a sequel, does anybody else know ?
Okay – I’ve solved ALL the puzzles and the cave stone is gone. Two questions:
1. How do I get my tribes population to exceed 90?
2. So? What’s the big whoop about the cave? Nothing happens
except some script about someone recently hiding there.

I’m going nuts trying to figure everything out. I’m dropping nursing mothers in the water and every once in a while I hear a big gush of water, but nothing happens that I can see. How do you get lots of points so that I can buy more technology?
Is there a special place to drop the Mother at in the lagoon? I have 6 Mothers and keep dropping them in and nothing happens.

Ok guys, I checked with the official virtual villagers site, and you are NOT supposed to be able to go into the cave. Not until a sequal is released later this year anyway. To respond to Marty, you get lot’s of points by putting lot’s of people on research. Just keep plugging away. Eventually you will purchase everything, and those things will enable you to figure out the other puzzles. Don’t bother dropping your nursing mothers into the lagoon until you have solved puzzle 12. Also, Patty, puzzle number 6 should have been solved if you have purchased everything and have been into the lagoon?? Have fun!
but how do you get amaster builder i am new to the game
Calm down, it’s o.k. It happened to me too. Once you get level 2 spirtuial, take one of your alive people over to the sacred ground on the east side of the island. They will then go get the bones and bury them. My first person just lied there rotting until they disapeared.
Marty! thank you so much, i had like 6 people die of old age and they were just lieing around lol. i think im in a bit of a rut right now….they keep looking at the rock and saying something about carving it but additional research is necessary or something….and those flat rocks by the water i dont know what to do with those either

It needs the water from the lagoon. It takes a long time so i think a hour or so it will work.
I’ve got several Mom’s with twins!!! Still working on getting the golden child…. I went to http://www.virtualvillagers.com/ and it’s lots of help, looks like the sequel will be pretty cool with all the ideas people are thinking up!
First you need to complete the idol and achieve level 3 of spirituality
The only way to get your population higher is if you are below 90 and then you have twins or triplets, I think the highest you can go is 92, and as far as the cave goes, I think it’s something that will happen in a sequel, if you go to virtual villagers.com on the web it has a lot of information
keep putting your people to research, or exploring things that they haven’t done yet like teaching a builder to farm or a farmer to build. You have to have level 3 of spirituality and complete the temple before anything will happen with a nursing mother and the lagoon
for a master builder you need to achieve level 2 of construction and then make sure that the builder gets lots of experience, if you don’t have patience, you can go to options on the main menu and speed up the game to 2x, it helps move things along.
For the flat rocks by the water you need to attain level 3 of construction and then drop a builder on the rocks, they will start to restore the temple, to make it go faster drop all your builders there (actually you can put any person there but if they are not a builder you might have to keep shoooing them back to building) and for the rock you need to complete the temple and achieve level 3 of spirituality, then take a master builder and put them at the rock, they will start to carve it.
no, I don’t think so, it just takes time, you can keep putting all your villagers there to speed it up.
I just completed the puzzle with the garden but it’s not showing any flowers there. is it supposed to?
yes it should, instead of just a patch of grass. try closing down the game and then bringing it back up again, in case it’s just a glitch. Does puzzle 9 show done ? If this doesn’t help go to http://www.virtual villagers.com. On that site you can report problems with the game straight to the designers and testers.
Re the Golden Child – I have level 3 everything but Fertility – I have the idole carved – I keep dropping my nursing moms in the lagoon and they just get wet and annoyed – no golden baby – what am I missing?

Hey Everyone – Please ignore my posts about the Golden Child – I just read on the Official Website that I need a level 3 fertility – and here I was thinking they were making babies just fine on their own. LOL

I have had crates float up with tools, rats and other stuff but never a baby. how neat!

Well I have problem with this bug-thing puzzle… Can somebody help me? And with that treasure… well my arm hurts of droping those poor builders along the beach and nothing… I know I’m supposed to look near food/temple but closer to the ocean or land? It reeeaaalllyyy starts to annoy me
Okay – drop a MASTER BUILDER even with the food bin and the middle of the temple so that if forms a right angle of sorts. Let him/her walk a bit until you read “…sees something here…” that’s how you’ll know you’re in the right area. It may take numerous times to do it. Once a MASTER BUILDER starts digging, other builders will join him/her. You must have FULL building level to accomplish this.
Ok i have done all the puzzles but 10,14 and 15 and i know one of them (i think 15) is the treasure and my villagers are working on that but i am unsure of what 10 and 14 are. can someone help me with this?
For puzzles 10 and 14 you need to have a golden child. To get a golden child you must first have all the fertility levels, then take a nursing mom and drop her in the lagoon. when you have the golden child take them to the garden and when the butterflies show up take the golden child to the red plant at the top of the screen (the one that looks like it could produce fruit)

the bug thing is the golden child and once you have maxed out on fertility you need to take a nursing mother to the lagoon to get the golden child this will help solve other puzzles. I would suggest getting as many tech points as you can to get to as many level 3 with the tech bits as you can as they all help solve the puzzzles
Leyahn, those puzzles have to do with the golden child, you need to max out ur fertility and build the ruins, and sculpt the big stone THEN you put a mother in the lagoon, an THen you get the golden child.
I had a crate with 3 kids in it before. Does that count?
i have a problem, i am having a pretty good game right now, exept that my crops arent growing fast enough, and my berry bush only has 30 berries on it, and i don’t think i will get enough tech points fast enouhgh to make them fish yet. (i only have 25,000, with a population of 14) Any suggestions?
unfortunately it is the end, you can keep watching your villagers (they will still die, need food, have babies, ect…) you can also start a new game, each game is a little different. from what I have heard, there is supposed to be a sequel out later this year that will pick up where this game left off (the cave, other parts of the island ect…) I wish they would hurry though !

put everyone to work on research, or have them work at things that are not their specialty (builders foraging, farmers fixing huts or learning about the different plants on the island.) try not to make anymore babies until your points are up (nursing moms won’t work) also if you have children, have them hunt for mushrooms to get your food up. If you click on the crops it will tell you how long till new crops are done. also you can have them water the strange patch if you don’t have that puzzle done yet ( you need to have the lagoon done first though)

hi! Here are some things that I’ve found helpful on the game. I haven’t solved it yet, but it would have been nice to have known these at the beginning!
-You only get tech points by researching. The more researching you are doing, the faster the points grow.
-If you are coming back to the game to find people gying, always have2 healers and1 person on farming per 10 villagers. The healers are really important and can heal eachother if the other is sick. Also, some villagers reject healing from a certain healer so the other may step in.
-Breeing: It takes forever to go through the process to see if the stork will show up-BUT you don’t have to wait. Breed anywhere on the screen and watch the population numbers. They change instantly on the screen if it worked.
-Things take longer and don’t run by themselves sometimes. My workers would go between the 2nd hut and the ruins until I finally had to return them one by one often to the hut. The same with the dead flowers. Only “workers” will stay on the job and they still tend to wander away from time to time so you have to return them to working on it.
-Everything works in steps. After any increase in technology you should be sure to drag a villager all over the island to see what new things can be done. Watch the hints while you explore.

INTERESTING OBSERVATIONS – post-solution of all puzzles
Well, you’ve solved all the puzzles. Congrats! We’ve discovered opening the cave doesn’t amount to anything EXCEPT perhaps it’s the portal to the sequel game. Now – your population is maxed at 90 – good for you. Take a peek at the ages of those peeps. They’re all within a few years of each other and making new babies is really hard since you have to wait for on to die to make another – right? All of a sudden – folks are going to die left and right from old age! Right now, one village is at only 30 now – I’m engaging in more sexual activity in the game world than real life!!! It’ll be interesting to see if I can get the population maxed out again BUT I imagine it’s a cycle since, once again, they will be clumped in age and die when they hit their 60’s and 70’s. AND what’s with that? Island folk with full healing should live in their 80’s and 90’s! Where’s the nursing home? Where’s the extended care? AND ANOTHER THING THAT BUGS ME – we call kids to a school and there’s no teacher!
I have 2 questions. How do you get the lagoon and whats puzzle number 4?

ok, with the treasure thing… do you drag the MASTER BUILDER above the ruins or to the left of them. I have dropped him about fifty times and still nothing. Does he need to have a secondary skill too? My construction is maxed out, and I have no idea what to do here…Do you need to leave his preferred skill checked as a MASTER BUILDER, or leave everything unchecked? Driving me insane LOL

The lagoon is created by unblocking the waterfall at the top left of the screen. Once you have level 2 of construction take a villager and keep dropping them on the pile of rocks in front of the waterfall until they start to remove the blockage. Puzzle 4 is the creation of a school. Take a master scientist and drop them norht of the research table until you see on the screen that they have founded a school.
to up your research points have all villagers work on research or have them learn new things (farmers building, builders foraging or learning about new plants) don’t have babies until your food is up, once you get enough points buy farming levels 2 and 3. have kids hunt for mushrooms to get your food points up. This is the order that I bought my levels, farming 1, building 1 science 1, farming 2 building 2 and science 2, you really don’t need spirituality, medical or fertility at first, then farming 3, science 3 building 3 and then spirituality and fertility, finally medicine.

A school, you need a master scientist to found it
the big building in front of the research table is what will become the school, take your master scientist and put them between the table and the building. you might have to put them there a few times.
yes the villager needs to have the builder skill checked, and needs to be a master builder, in addition to construction you need to have level 3 in science, if you have all that, take a master builder and put him directly south of the food bin at a right angle to the temple, you should see something that says “is there something buried here ?” when you are in the right location, then wait for the builder to dig, again you might have to drop him there a couple of times for him to start digging.
What is the significance of people doing the laundry. Do the clothes become so worn that they turn into fishing nets or is it just something that bored villagers do?????
There just bored. It o.k to pick them up and made them lose the laundry.
It’s just something they do, like eating, relaxing, dancing, arguing, telling a joke ect…..
how do you get someone to be a master builder once the two huts are built and the lagoon filled? i want to build the temple (i have the tech) but my only master builder died….

I’ve asked this once already – but got no response…How do you make a master builder? i had two, but they died before i had the right tech for the temple. Now the two huts are built and i can’t get them any higher than adept
try and put your adept builders to work “fixing” the huts (drop them in front of one of the huts) it may take some time to get them up to master status, but i don’t think for the temple to be built you have to have a “master builder” i think that as long as you have level 3 of construction you can use any villager to build the temple.I think the only puzzle that requires a master builder is puzzle 15.
Can anyone tell me the point of the flower garden. Is it only for asthetic appeal or does it pay any further part in the game??

One you have the Golden Child he calls butterflies to the garden then leads them to the fruit bearing (red) plant. So you need the garden to solve one of the other puzzles. Besides – the villagers like it.
Speeding Up Game Play –
For those of you, like myself who feel the game moves way tooo slow, here’s a neat lil trick I picked up from Fish Tycoon.
Under options make sure your game is set to “Normal” moving it too fast kills off your people.
Now.. while you’re in game mode, click on your computer clock and advance the clock half and hour or an hour, depending on how fast you want to move along (Those who are familiar with it may even choose to move it a few hours forward at a time, but i would suggest playing with smaller increments and then larger once your comfortable with it.)
Consider it pushing the game’s “fast forward button.”
Important to note however: If for example your clock says 10:30 PM and you want to advance it 2 hours, it should read 12:30 AM the NEXT day (this means you will also have to forward the date. If you dont, and you leave it as 12:30 AM the same day, your crops will take forever to grow and you wil not have made any progress.)

Eventually, they will uncover the magic lagoon. (However, Im wondering how you got Puzzles 6, 9, 13, 14 & 16 solved without the lagoon. It was my understanding they all kind of depended on the lagoon.)
Puzzle 8: The Medical Herbs. In the west corner you will notice a strange cactus, have a researcher study this cactus (drop a researcher on it) and then go to the north, and you will notice anothe cactus, again research this cactus. Then go to the East and you will see a funny looking Lily (looks like a garlic bulb) research this as well. Finally, go south of the lily and you will find a single rose, research that. Research all 4 will unlock the Medicinal Magic ie. Puzzle 8.
Puzzle 15: The Treasure Chest – this one was a lil tricky. You will need a Master Builder (that has his/her building skill maxed.) Take the Builder and drop them south of the Food Bin, in line with the Temple. You may have to do this a few times, around the general area.. You will see the message “See’s something buried..’ come up.. and then they will start digging. This one actually takes a few attempts so dont give up.

6 is the magic fish, once you have the lagoon completed, and level 3 of harvest, then take a master farmer and drop them in the lagoon, they will begin hunting a strange fish, it might take a few tries.but eventually they will get the fish.

A book washed on the beach and a kid picked it up. (early in the game)
The kid had two options, read it or bring it to the elders.
I chose the kid to read it.
It said that the kid was amazed by the secrets in the book. Very excited.
Then he went awol and he was never seen again. Vanished.
It did mention something about a secret place or a tunnel or something…
That happened during my first game and I never got a repeat on it again.
BUT seeing as the cave the golden child unlocks is obviously habitat, I can’t help but wonder what would happen if the elders were to read that book.
hey ! does anyone know what to do when yr food supply is zero and you are still waiting for the new crop to come out ? how long can they survive without food? my villagers are dying one by one. PLEASE HELP.
I noticed that your villagers will “forage” even if there are no berries on the bush and they come back with a basket full. Try taking your villagers over and make them forage on the empty bush.
HELP Im bored I’ve been playing this for days on double time and still am no where. I’ve done the well, the hut, the plants and SLOWLY the lagoon. Is there any other way to speed this up? How do I get MASTERS? How on earth did people get 80000 tech points? How old do the kids have to be to become a trainee or something?

thanks… what i did was just fast forward the time and make the crop grows. Meantime how do u know which baby is the golden child? do i need to wait for the butterfly to appeared before i can drop the child & the mother into the water ? what should happened ?
Everyone keeps asking how to get tech points higher. A suggestion that I found is to designate most of the people to research. If you pull up the details on a person you can check the box beside research and if they have any training in it at all they will keep doing it on their own.
I’ve noticed many people are just dropping any nursing mother into the lagoon to get the golden child. That is NOT true. You need a master parent nursing mother! That is why it hasn’t been working.
no you don’t – any nursing mother will work. but first you need the temple, the idol and level 3 of fertility.

it says someone is in there… there were berries and I always saw eyes. Anything else? Can I find this person?
make sure you study so you can go fishing. Also try to make a lot of people farm so you can get the field to be ready sooner…. as for now… find mushrooms.
I don’t know how many of you have already figured it out but if it’s too slow for you like it is for me, just set your pc clock ahead by half hour or hour intervals. When you want to set your clock back to normal time just pause the game and change it back. Don’t forget to be careful about changing the day when you hit 12 am though
Hello, This happened to me as well, twice. – two different games.
First time villager read and went m.i.a. 2nd time gave book to elders. – nothing the book went m.i.a. By the time it reached them no pages or no writting. sorry realy dont remember it was a while ago. Best if it comes up for anyone again is to see how your population is. If you have to many let them read it if not bring to elders. Good luck and have fun.

Put them all to research, over and over. As soon as you have point enough buy te first level in ‘farming’ then you can start ‘planting crops’ on the field south of the research table!
Who carves the idol? My master builder just died- they take so long to create!
Oh, and one thing i found out about the mushrooms- if you see one with a red head instead of brown, there is a HUGE point difference! The brown has 8 points for food, while the red has a whopping 45!

And if u put the ppl in the grave yard, they will honor the dead with the flowers, same thing with the idol and temple. It doesn’t do nothin, but it’s just a fun little fact!!
Does anyone know how the school building can be converted? I get that message when ever i place a villager over the building, but everytime i put a master builder near it …. nothing happends.
I found the comment about having healers excellent. However, I only had 2 at a time for whole population. I now have 90, and only about 7 have died (all from old age).
By the way crabs are worth 55 points, fish only 9. I think a basket of crops is 7 to 9. Once new crops are on the way it doesn’t speed the process to have more people working on them/watering…instead, concentrate on getting research up.
Fertility is the last thing you need to buy – if all else is going well and there is plenty of food, babies will come….just set women to breeding. Do not breed unless you have lots of food first.

General Enquiry re Puzzle 15
I only got this after reading the tips (which is never as satisfying). How did other posters solve this without help? There don’t appear to have been any hints like there were with the other puzzles.
BTW I’m pretty sure converting school is a red herring (like fixing huts).
There is no particular order that the milestones happen in. You have to get your tech points up so that you can buy the next stage of research. I bought mine in this order: Farming 1, Construction 1, Science 1, Medicine 1, Spirituality 1, Fertility 1, Farming 2, Construction 2, Science 2, Medicine 2, Farming 3, Construction 3, Science 3, Medicine 3,Spirituality 2, Fertility2, Spirituality 3, Fertility 3. Changing the way that you upgrade probably changes the way that you fulfill the milestones. There is a patch of land right in front of the tech table, where your crops will grow. It isn’t a milestone, but the berries will run out so you have to get the villagers to farmer it as soon as you can.
Milestone 1 – Place a villager near the well and he or she will move the log so that they can have
fresh water.
Milestone 2 – Go to detail and select builder. After you buy the second level the villagers will begin construction of a new hut.
Milestone 3 – Drag the villagers to the place where the driftwood is at the ocean. When they clean it away, this puzzle is solved.
Milestone 4 – Have a master scientist go into the big hut and a school is founded.
Milestone 5 – When the villagers get to the island the lagoon is dammed up. (located in top left hand corner of the screen). Have them remove creek blockage.
Milestone 6 – After the creek has been unblocked, the lagoon is filled with magical water. I think that you have to get a master farmer to fish in the lagoon and when he or she catches a fish and adds it to the food storage, this milestone is solved.
Milestone 7 – Place a villager in the lagoon and then put him or her in the patch of land next to the big bolder. Top right hand corner of the screen. The burial site is established.
Milestone 8 – There are 4 plants located around the island. Bring a villager to each of them so that they understand the medical properties. I don’t know if they have to be master scientists or not.
Milestone 9 – Once you have the golden child, take him to the place where the dead plants are. He will cause it to become a beautiful garden.
Milestone 10- This is the plant that looks like it can bear fruit. Once the golden child summons the butterflies, take them to this plant. They will pollinate it and the fruit will appear.
Milestone 11 – This is a stone temple that had to be rebuilt by the villagers. This is spiritual so you probably have to upgrade in that area before they are able to build. Found in the bottom right hand corner of the screen.
Milestone 12 – This is a stone idol that had to be carved by the villagers. This is spiritual so you probably have to upgrade in that area before they are able to build. This is what was the large white rock next to the lagoon.
Milestone 13 – This is the golden child and after I upgraded to fertility 3 he came. I put the mothers who were carrying children into the lagoon and the golden child was born.
Milestone 14- The golden child called the butterflies to make the dead plants grow into the beautiful garden.
Milestone 15 – I have not figured this one out yet.
Milestone 16- The golden child will cause the big rock in the top center of the screen to move away.
i got all 16 puzzles and have the treasure chest- am i supposed to do something with it or is that the game all over?
um, can someone tell me HOW TO GET EASILY and not WHAT TO DO WITH tech points please?

ok im confused. there is a temple down by the water that i rebuilt but i found on another website that you can carve a temple up by the lagoon. anyone know how or was the other website mistaken?
after the blockage by the lagoone is cleared away and the water fills; then by it self it will over-flow one night and the dead flowers will bloom.
I have gotton three crates two had three children in them and one had two. But, I also got a crate filled with black spiders that bit the person that opened it all over!
I did not use only master buildres. I used everyone. If they did not have building skills after playing them by it two-three times they picked up the skill. Same way you teach them to do anything.

Go down from the food box and across from the temple – and you have to drop them not drag them around

Hiya, im new to this game and i cant get my villagers to fish. I have two master farmiers and farming level 2. When i put them in the ocean it just says villagers do not know how to fish. Please help!!!

You need Level 3 in religion, so in fact at the end of the game.
Tip: in increasing level always first buy FARMING (food keeps them alive!) then SCIENCE (you get your points faster), then CONSTUCTION (they need houses to expand (breed)) then MEDICINE then SPIRITUALITY and at last FERTILITY. I easily finished the game in 6 days this way without any problems with hunger diseases. Always see firts that you gather enough food first your berries, later by farming on the feeld and at least by fishing, … and don’t breed (=expand your population ) to fast!
Can someone pls tell me how to train healers? I am about to lose someone that I really need because she is sick and I don’t have a healer to help her?!?!?
to train healers you have to keep putting them on a decomposing body. it skyrocked me. Any one have any hints on when little kids become trainees? I really want to know…
you don’t need a healer, take anyone and put him/her on th sick person (‘he/she will aprove in healing!’)
little kids become trainee when they turn 14… besides if you click the mask on the lower left side of the screen you will get good hints.

Since it is a real time game that runs by the computer on the clock reset your computers clock by double clicking it. kids can start working at 14 and breeding at 18. 2 years virtual time is 4-5 hours real time.

OK – I have read through all these comments to make sure I’m not asking a question that has already been answered. I didn’t find it so here goes…I’ve solved all 16 puzzles but I’m still baffled because even though everyone says that’s the end of the game, I keep have villagers going over to the treasure chest because they “see something interesting”. They seem to try to get to it then they give up. Does anyone know what this means?? Am I supposed to do anything about it or is it just happening to drive me insane???

My villiage is complete, all levels done, Golden Child running around like a nut! Out of no where, all of the little children that were in the flowers “doing their business” went running for the school, stood there in front of it and the caption read “going to school”. This has never happened before or since this one time. Does anyone know if theres a trick to make this happen or just by chance? The game is quite boring now, I just go back to see who died so I’d be very happy to know if there is something I can do to prompt these different events.

You need to place a villager in front of the cactus, and then the lily, the rose, and the strange plant over by the lagoon and eventually their healing powers will increase. You can also place them on the sick villager and the healing power may also increase that way.

Help meee… I need to get a golden child right? But my population is maxxed out at 90. Even though i’ve seen screenshots of people with 304 population but yeh.. Do i really have to wait for people to get old and die, to get a child, cause its taking ages… and as soon as someone dies, my villagers are so god damn horny, a new baby is made instantly.. Or is that all i need, not one from a master parent? So confusing this game… Any help welcomed cheers

You all talk it up like its soooo easy but it’s NOT!!!! I can’t get enough money saved up for levels 2 or 3 of the tech stuff. I have my people doing every job, i had about 7 puzzles completed and my people ended up dieing cause i had no food left. I had 2 batches of the crops and than it took too long to grow more and everyone slowly died!!!!!! This is ridiculous….. this game is frustrating. HELP!!!!!!!

Go into options and set the time on the 2X, set most of your people up as researchers, keep them at the table and you will get enough tech points to buy the levels. Be sure and get the 3rd farming level so that your villagers have fish and they won’t starve to death.
Aim to get the scientific levels as well because you get tech points faster if all the scientific levels are bought. Good luck! (:

Do you have all 3 levels on everything??? You have to to get treasure and golden child. The treasure you have to have a master builder and dont drag him around just keep picking him up and placing him lil by lil and he will start digging but you have to keep putting him on there and once he starts it everyone else can help. The tresure is straight down from food box and across from the temple. With the golden child you have to have that idol built and take a nursing mom and just drop her in the logoon and he will be born. I hop ethis helps some

Where is the temple?
I have 3 puzzles left.(1) The flowers with the stars around them (2)The Butterfly (3) The opened box. I can figure these out. But what I want to know is what is the girl that is born as an apprentice for? She is very light skinned and reminds me of the golden boy. Is there any significnace to her and the golden bo?. Because I have yet to see anything. But she was the only one of the villagers born with apprentice.
drag a master builder over into the rock pile. Keep dragging them there until it says that they are clearing the blockage. Thats when they will start dragging the rocks away and the lagoon will eventually flow. Good Luck!

There is no end I guess.. I am there to! I have sat here so 3 days done and they all just run around dying and breeding!!! Thats it….. So I guess we are all waiting for a second game to come out.
You will know when it is the golden child when you click on him it says golden child. when you look at his stats everything is maxed.
DO you have level 3 on everything? You have to have level 3 on everything! I just dropped the golden child in the flowers and he called them over. I just dropped him on the red flower and the butterflies pollanated it. I guess just make sure you have all the level 3.
how do you fish.
Have a builder remove the blockage from the creek. REMEMBER Read what they are thinking.You might need to do this more than once. GOOD LUCK

Do you have the 3rd level in farming bought? If so, take your villager, farmer will work best, and keep putting him in the ocean and eventually they will fish. *Your villagers will have to have the beach cleaned up first before they can go in the water. Good luck!
That seems to be all there is. Once the Golden chiId appears, the villagers really don’t have to work anymore. He provides everything for them. I started a few more villages, I put them on the HARD mode to make it a little more interesting and maybe different (it’s not), I was getting bored going back to see how many of the people in my original village have died, little skeletons laying all over the place everytime I would go and check on them~Kind of morbid if you ask me. I wish they would come out with an add-on pack for this game so that maybe they could go to different areas of the island, or maybe merge villages…. oh well, just have to wait and see….
I lack the 2 where the butterflies are suppose to do something with the golden child but i cant get them to go to the Red plant……..help?

If you change the time on the computer clock you can speed everything up. For instance, change from 8am to 8pm–or even change the date to the next day and you will gain 24 hours. The people will not starve and the food number will grow rapidly. HOWEVER, people will die of old age or disease so make sure you have some babies (who will be adults when you return.) set a few of the villagers to research and you will have alot of tech points too.

I have had to start over like 5 times. I get level 2 on science, farming, and construction and then the berry bush runs out and the crop takes forever!! I tried the clock tip but that ADDED time to the crop minutes. I have like NO food now and have to wait for this %^$@ crop, lol. My master scientist is weakening and I cannot deem to get the tech points fast enough. Ahhhhhh!I did #’s 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 8 and seem to be at a standstill. I have all of the adults on researching and only have a bit over 5,000 tech points…help!

Do you have the setting in options at 2X ? If not, then put it on that, you’ll rack up tech points faster. Also, aim to get your villagers fishing (3rd level in farming) now before anything else or they could starve to death. Good Luck!

If you want a real good cheat for this game, since they are very rare, it involves using an editor. You can find an excellent one at: http://www.artmoney.ru
Download the trial and then start your Virtual Villagers.
You can then change the two most important values in the game: food, tech points
Once your game is loaded, start ArtMoney…have someone research something, then move him to something else. Note the amount of tech points you have, switch to Art Money and click Search, change the value to what your available tech points are. Hit enter….after it loads all the files on the left, go back to the game and have someone research again, when the amount changes, move them to something esle. Go back to ArtMoney and repeat the process again, you should only have one file on the left. Click it and then click the green arrow to move it to the center screen. Right click and change the value and the name to whatever you want. This value will change in the game….Do the same for food and you will never run out of either!!!!! Just remember do not purchase all of the Science tech until you have a master scientist or it will get stuck.
I have solved all the puzzles. I have 90 people and lots of food and tech points……….is the game over now the puzzles are solved..does any of the villagers go into the cave and open out any other parts of the island? Solved it all in a few days……..surely that’s not the end of it……..if it is then it is not value for money that’s for sure!!!

I have a few changes to your milestone layout.
“Milestone 2 – Go to detail and select builder. After you buy the second level the villagers will begin construction of a new hut.”
I have found that you don’t need to buy the next level of construction to build the first hut, but you need it for the second one.
“Milestone 6 – After the creek has been unblocked, the lagoon is filled with magical water. I think that you have to get a master farmer to fish in the lagoon and when he or she catches a fish and adds it to the food storage, this milestone is solved.”
I believe you also need the third level of farming for this.
“Milestone 7 – Place a villager in the lagoon and then put him or her in the patch of land next to the big bolder. Top right hand corner of the screen. The burial site is established.”
Someone has to die first though.

No, they don’t have to be a master anything, anyone can do it at any time.

No, you just have to have all levels of construction for this one.

Oh, a note to those who want to use the “clock cheat”, this is not a good idea if your villagers can’t fish yet. You can easily run out of food for some reason and starve before a new harvest comes in. This has happened to me, I decided to just play through it right, it works better.

Im having trouble making babies, ive had a couple go indoors a few times but no baby has occured, am i doing something wrong?
to get the butterflies, take the golden child to the flower garden. then take the golden child to the fruitless plant and hey presto, two puzzles in one. If you do not have the golden child yet, take one of your nursing mothers to the lagoon,

the only problem with setting the time higher on your computer clock is that the crops will take longer to produce. once i did this and i had to 43000+ minutes before i had any veggies
I had a viral pox hit my island that wiped out all my children except for one 13 yr. old, and this was an island I completed, so No, the game does not end after you get all of the puzzles solved!
I cant seem to figure out how to get more experience for my farmers. I’m out of food, and and I dont have any expert farmers yet…what do I do?

The hints from the website listed above (www.jakeludington.com) are:
“Puzzle #1 – Get a builder to clean the well. This is the village water supply. Get a villager with building skill, drag them to the well and let them fix it.
Puzzle #2 – Build a new hut. Population is maxed out at 7 until you build a new hut. A villager trained in building is required to build new huts.
Puzzle #3 – Clean up the beach debris. You need to clean up the debris so the villagers can fish. Drag a villager to the debris and it will start cleaning.
Puzzle #4 – Starting a village school. You need a master scientist. Drag them to the long building north of the reasearch table to start a school.
Puzzle #5 – Remove the blockage of the creek in the northwest corner of the village. Villagers need level 2 in construction to work on this. Drag a villager to the rock pile blocking the water flow from the creek. When the blockage is cleared, water will flow to the lagoon. This puzzle is the key to solving three more puzzles.

Puzzle #8 – Discover the medicinal properties of 4 plants. One plant is the cactus near the boulder, one plant is near the lagoon, two are on the east side of the island. Drag a villager to each plant until all four are mastered.
Puzzle #9 – You need to complete puzzle #5 first. Drag a villager to the field on the east side of the island (where the dead flowers are). They will water the field with water from the lagoon. Make sure to use a villager with building skill so that the watering continues until the flowers bloom.
Puzzle #10 – Solve puzzle #14 first. Wait for the butterflies to follow the golden child, then drag the golden child to the strange plant north of the berry bush where the butterflies will pollinate the plant.
Puzzle #11 – Restore the temple at the ruins (requires Level 3 of Construction). Drag a villager to the ruins in the southeast of the island and they will begin restoring the ruins.
Puzzle #12 – Requires puzzle #11 complete and Level 3 Spirituality. Drag a builder to the shiny rock on the west side of the village and they will chisel the rock to create an idol.
Puzzle #13 – the birth of the golden child (requires Level 3 of Fertility) . This requires puzzle #5, puzzle #12. Drag a nursing mom to the lagoon.

I found out on the LDW forum that you can change your villagers clothes by selecting a villager and pressing the f6 key.

I have maxed out everything except fertility (it is 2/3) and when I put the villagers by the stone to carve it, it still says additional research is needed. Why?
Also, how do I get a master builder? I have built two huts already and cleared the lagoon. I don’t have time to sit here for three days straight to drag others to fix the hut. They try it for a minute and then off to do something else. So that seems like an impossible idea there.
Finally, all my villagers (including kids) now just stand around. The kids used to run around like crazy looking at stuff and people would always want to fish or research. Now they all just stand around doing nothing.
Really finally, I came back to the game after being away for a few hours and saw three sets of bones on the ground. My population had decreased by three. However, they are not in the graveyard even though the villagers tried to bury them. Where did they go?
you need to get max on the farming one and then put a farmer into the lagoon. they will come out with a fish and you’ll get a message saying that you can now fish!
i FF time a day and i came back and they were building it. It is to the far right of the screen, next to the building you turn into the school house.
Ahh! There has got to be a way to force people to do something!! I woke up this morning to find all but 2 people dead (just have two master farmers). I’m breeding and trying to research to get 240,000 tech points to get my last max out, fertility. They have 1/2 to 3/4 full on research but won’t research they just continue to fish even though we have over 100,000 in food!! So I have to just sit here and keep dragging them back and that will take forever and I don’t have the time. I wish I would leave and they would keep researching. Any ideas?!
u have a level 2 in construction, then place a vill. by the blocked lagoon, and he’ll start to unblock it.
Buy the first construction level,the get 1 or more villagers to work there
Get some villagers with building skill,and then drag them to the dead flowers (below cemetary).Let them keep going.This takes 4EVER!!!
Here is every puzzle + hints & secrets-
———————————————————– 1-WHEN YOU START get your trainee builder and put them on the well.
2-Your population can’t grom till you build the hut.(your builder will automaticly do this,but putt more people on it,if you don’t,it will take up to an hour.)
3-Clean up the beach on the south part of Isola so they can swim and soon fish.
4-This will take a few hours (to make a master scientest) Then above the researching area,there is a building.put a master scintest on it.It will found a school.
5-LOTS of people need help with this one!Get a villager with building skill.Then put him on the blockage in the Northwst corner.(You need to reaserch The 1st level of building first(
6-First you must have a lagoon (see puzzle #5) then you must have your farming fully reasearched and a master scintest.Then put it in the lagoon.It may take a few trys,but it will catch it.
7-First,get the next level of spirtuality,then wait till someone dies.Drag a person to the NE corner.
8-Easy,just study the herbs around Isola!
9-You need the lagoon.Drag a villager with good building skill to the place with dead flowers and they’ll start going back and forth,watering the flowers till they bloom.
10-You’ll need the golden child 1st (see puzzle 13) Take him to the fruitless plant.
11-You need level 3 building.Drag some people to the strangely straght rocks.They will build a temple.
12-You need a temple (puzzle 11) and level 3 spirtuality.Take some people to the OTHER rock and they will chisel it into an idol.
13-You need level 3 fertility and puzzles 5 and 12.Take a nursing mother to swim in the lagoon.A baby will automaticly appear.This the golden child.
14-You need puzzle 13.Take the golden child to the flower garden (see puzzle 9) wait for butterflies.
15-Needs level 3 in Scince and Construction.Dig buryed treasure between food bin and temple.
16-THe golden child will push the boulder.(you can’t make him)

I cannot complete puzzle 15. I put people from the food bin to the temple, all my people and they still go and reaserach. WHat shall i I do to find the treasure? TELL ME IF IT IS WEST EAST NoRTH OR SOUTH to FOOD BIN OR TEMPLE!! 10q
the treasure is on the left of the temple, the villagers will say “is there something buried here” just keep dropping them and eventually they will dig for the treasure.

I’m maxed out on all my research, but my villagers still will not build the temple on the ruins. It still says more research may be necessary. Has anyone else had this problem?

All through the game someone are looking out behind the boulder – maybe the one, who put the berries in the cave?
This could be a great way to start a second game – find out, who lived there before, who carved in the cave and who put the berries there (someone who’s still alive, ’cause the berries are fresh).

I guess you finished the game, when all the puzzles are done and you’ve been in the cave, where you get to know a bit about the people who lived there before.
I think 90 is max. population – on less you’ve got 89 and a woman gets triplets.

How do you make twins and triplets?
You have to drain the pool to get what is at the bottom. In order to do that, you need to have some villagers that can build a dam.
How do you keep those birds from eating your crops? I am stuck on this one and will soon run out of food.

Put a nursing mother in the lagoon. The child will become The Golden Child. need level 3 firtility
Put The Golden Child on the magic garden Butterflies will appear and follow The Golden Child.
Discover buried treasure that is located south of the food bin. A clue will not be given by just dragging the villager over the area. You need to place a master builder to find the hiding spot.
The Golden Child will remove the boulder blocking the cave

Once you get it started with your master builder drag as many of your villagers to that spot so they help. This will get the job done faster. Sometimes you just have to keep dragging them back to that spot because they will walk away.
Yes, I agree that you have to have your fertility maxed, and your spirituality maxed. How I got my Golden child was by maxing the two but to be on the safe side I left the Golden child towards the end aftering having my temple built and my idol. I just dropped any nursing mother into the lagoon and voila! Then I drug the kid to the flower garden and then over to the fruitless plant. Then I took him and put him in front of the cave and he moved the rock.
This was my strategy after tinkering with the game over several days. I did mess with the clock time however, you do have to be very careful with that because 1) you may kill all your villager if you go too far in advance without breeding and making more villagers or 2) it could change your crop time and your villagers will starve to death. I just advanced it an hour or two and checked the status of my villagers.
I found that not to be a challenge so I started over and left the computer clock alone.
I have found that the more villagers you have on research the faster your tech points increase. You have to be careful though not to make too many before you have enough food sources because your berries get too depleated. What I have done is to just wait and use my original villagers. My first tech point purchases were used to max out the food so that my villagers could fish. Than I went crazy with the breeding. Once you have enough that can work make sure you groom a couple of each master: scientist, breeder, builder, healer, and farmer because you need them to solve the puzzles.
When I had 35-50 in my population and the majority of them doing research the tech points increased very quickly.

you try to build up enough TECH POINTS to buy the second level of engineering then drag an adult villiger over to the rocks blocking the stream and they will eventually build a dam

I watered the dead patch until all the flowers popped up and I got the highly uplifting message – 30 seconds later all my villagers died!!!!! All this after 5 long days of playing. What went wrong??? Should I have waited until I had the Golden Child????

I ate these strange berries, and it made my adults turn into children. Is there any way to reverse this? Because I tried changing the time on my computer and they don’t get any older…

No it doesn’t. I’ve gotten my garden to bloom without having the golden child.
Finished all puzzles and they sometimes go next to the treasure and say they see something unusual but nothing happens. Can’t put them back there they just seem to go look for something from time to time, any ideas?
When i press the drum outside of the school the kids comeover and when you click them it says “GOING TO SCHOOL” but all they do is stand there. What is supposed to happen?

Just keep trying! Persistence a little like real life. Set the female to be “Parent” and let them eat a few times. Then keep trying. Although states too hungry they will eventually go indoors.
I can’t gat anyone to dig up the treasure. They see it once in a while by themselves and go dig a little, but dragging them back to i† when they quit working…they end up running away.

I have only just started the game and I was just wondering … How do you get people to fish? When you put them in the sea, it says they don’t know how to and I don’t have near enough tech points to buy anything. Please help!

Milestone 15 is Buried tresure. get a master Bulider and put him under the food box and lined up with the temple and he will start to dig.

hey that is really cool the way you got everything maxed out but i have only got 7 of the puzzles figured out, i cant make my tech points get up to 80000 points or whatever it is to get my spirituallity all the way up. i was told to look for a girl who likes butterflies i have one old enough to make babies but i cant get the tech points up high enough to try to make the golden child please can you all help?
